Feng Shui is generally known as a system for arranging your surroundings in harmony and balance with the natural world around you. In Chinees
the word Feng shui means ‘wind and water ’. In the current economic downturn, more people are turning to practical uses of Feng Shui to help
them through tough times.
At Silver Studios we apply Feng Shui to create appealing and harmonious website designs. If the Chinees have found these to be decent
principles for the last 5000 years, you should at least give it a try.
Feng Shui in web design terms involves aligning web pages and the user\s experience of navigating the whole website, in ways which will maximise
the flow of positive Chi. By balancing the website we create a positive, strong and most importantly attractive website with the ultimate goal
of attracting buyers for your products and services.
We do this following a few basic yet important rules:
1. Simplicity: by removing all irrelative clutter from a design you allow your customer to focus on what is really important.
2. Color: Different colors represent different elements and symbolisms. By using the correct color coding to your website we create
the perfect environment for your customer
3. Light: Decluttering a website doesn’t mean designing something boring or to simplistic. By creating a balance between areas of
stillness and focal points in the form of pleasant good looking graphic work and imagery, you will obtain a pleasant environment
for your client.
4. Navigation: Your client must find it easy and comfortable to get around your website, they never want to feel they reached a dead
end. If the client can easily ‘swim’ through your pages to get to where he would like to be your client will feel welcome and comfort
able with your company.
5. Lines and structure: Most website contain far too many straight lines. The client might responds negative to this strict repetition
of angles. By allowing some curves or smoothening some edges you can create a much softer look and more accessible feel to
your site.
